The Secret Restroom's trash receptacle is located between the door and the baby changing area for the convenience of guests. It is also near a supplemental toilet paper dispenser for the convenience of guests who don't want to touch doorknobs with their bare hands but already threw away the paper towel that they used to dry their hands.

The trash receptacle is lined with a biodegradable liner that, when full, is delivered to a nearby recycling center.

The trash receptacle is checked every time the restroom is cleaned. This policy was instituted after an 1983 incident in which a baby was found in the Secret Restroom trash, the father of which was located walking through Frontierland, pushing a dirty diaper in a stroller.
